The artist’s silence responds to the flight of the eagle.

The cyanography was exhibited in 2017 in the church of the Preaching Brothers in Arles.
and a new version in 2019 at the European Craft Days in Osny.

It is possible to make a new variation.

Thébaids

“Already he dreamed of a refined thebaid, a comfortable desert, a still and warm ark where he would take refuge from the incessant flood of human stupidity” HUYSMANS | Backwards | 1884

In French, this name has taken on a specific meaning, derived from its original meaning: a region of Egypt, around Thebes, now called Luxor. This city was an oasis in the middle of a desert area… in which persecuted Christian communities had taken refuge.
Thebaid is therefore a quiet and remote place to live isolated, in peace.

The Thebaids, a collection of cyanographies that belong to no other.
Either they were exhibited in “panorama” mode, as at the Invalides in 2018, where the idea was to show the range of possibilities, or they are unpublished, in a hermitage at the Thebaides, while a collection is being built up.
